RESULTS OF THE TENTH POLL

Filed under: Uncategorized — celinejulie @ 10:02 pm

My tenth poll ended with 8 votes, including one vote from me for PRASART and THE SLEEP OF REASON. Thanks a lot to everyone who participated in it. Here is the result:

THESE FILMS INVOLVE INTERESTING FEMALE PERSONALITIES. WHICH FILM DO YOU LIKE?

1.PERSONA (1966, Ingmar Bergman, Sweden)
It got 4 votes or 50 %.

2.THE BITTER TEARS OF PETRA VON KANT (1972, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, West Germany)
It got 3 votes or 37 %.

3.ANOTHER WOMAN (1988, Woody Allen, USA)
+THE INSANE (2006, Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook, Thailand)
+JULIET OF THE SPIRITS (1996, Federico Fellini, Italy)
+MADAME X: AN ABSOLUTE RULER (1978, Ulrike Ottinger, West Germany)
+PRASART (1975, Pieak Poster, Thailand)
+RITUAL IN TRANSFIGURED TIME (1946, Maya Deren, USA)
+THE SLEEP OF REASON (1984, Ula Stockl, West Germany)
+WHEN A WOMAN ASCENDS THE STAIRS (1960, Mikio Naruse, Japan)
+THE WOMEN (1939, George Cuckor, USA)
+WOMEN ON THE VERGE OF A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN (1988, Pedro Almodovar, Spain)

Each of them got 2 votes or 25 %

13.LES BONNES FEMMES (1960, Claude Chabrol, France)
+FEMALE PERVERSIONS (1996, Susan Streitfeld, USA)
+FULL MOON IN NEW YORK (1990, Stanley Kwan, Hong Kong)
+GIRL (2002, Dorothee Van Den Berghe, Belgium)
+OUR TIMES (2002, Rakhshan Bani Etemad, Iran)
+PHANTOM LOVE (2007, Nina Menkes, USA)
+RADIANCE (1998, Rachel Perkins, Australia)
+TEN TINY LOVE STORIES (2001, Rodrigo Garcia, USA)

Each of them got 1 vote or 12 %.

I’m very glad that THE INSANE got some votes in this poll. I hope Araya Rasdjarmrearnsook should be much more famous in the future. I like some monologues in THE INSANE very much. Some monologues in this video installation may be very funny, but I was surprised to find that some monologues of some insane female patients reveal that they share the same dream as me. THE INSANE made me realize that I’m not totally different from the insane patients. They are still human beings, and some parts of them can be found in us.
