I’m glad to hear that Pimpaka Towira may be the programmer of the Bangkok International Film Festival this year. I like many films in the Bangkok Film Festival in 2001, when she was also the programmer.

My favorite films in Bangkok Film Festival in 2001 include:

1.FOTOGRAF (2001, Kazim Oz, Turkey)

2.JACKY (2000, Brat Ljatifi, Fow Pyung Hu, Netherlands)

3.THE DAY I BECAME A WOMAN (2000, Marziyeh Meshkini, Iran)

4.THE CIRCLE (2000, Jafar Panahi, Iran)

5.CLOUDS OF MAY (2000, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Turkey)

6.THE STATE I AM IN (2000, Christian Petzold, Germany)

7.UNDER THE MOONLIGHT (2001, Reza Mir Karimi, Iran)

8.STORYTELLING (2001, Todd Solondz, USA)

9.UNFINISHED SONG (2001, Mazir Miri, Iran)

10.SMELL OF CAMPHOR, FRAGRANCE OF JASMINE (2000, Bahman Farmanara, Iran)

–I haven’t listened to Scarlett Johansson’s album yet, but Merveillesxx’s praise for her album reminds me of two female celebrities whose albums I love. They are Milla Jovovich and Naomi Campbell.

This is the music video of GENTLEMAN WHO FELL by Milla Jovovich:

LOVE AND TEARS (1994) by Naomi Campbell

  1. Wow! Many great films there!
