–Talking about Soviet Russia reminds me of this Russian clip. I’m not sure what this clip is, because I can’t read Russian, but I guess this clip is a song called THE BALLAD OF ANGELA, which is a part of a Soviet film called THE KING OF REINDEER (1969, Pavel Arsyonov). The actress in this clip is Valentina Malyavina, who also plays in IVAN’S CHILDHOOD (1962, Andrei Tarkovsky, A+), but the voice in this clip may be from a singer called Alla Pugashova.

I like Alla Pugashova in the following clip very much. I don’t know the title of the song she sings, but I used online translation and it says the song is called IT PLEASES ME.
