Khun PC from Bioscope Webboard just told me about birubirFilms’s Channel, which has many Soviet films with English subtitles.

It’s a real treasure. There are many films I haven’t heard before. There are also many films I wish I have time to watch, such as:

2.THE DAWNS ARE QUIET (1972, Stanislav Rostotsky) nominated for Oscar’s Best Foreign Language Film

Thank you very much for linking to the Taipei Story’s Channel. I have been wanting to watch A PAGE OF MADNESS (1926, Teinosuke Kinugasa) for a long time. Now my wish is partly fulfilled. All I have to do is find the time to watch it.

Thanks a lot for recommending WE (1969, Artavazd Peleshian, A+++++). I worship this film. The cinematography and the editing are great. This film accidentally reminds me of ARARAT (2002, Atom Egoyan, A+) and CALENDAR (1993, Atom Egoyan, A+), which also deal with Armenia.
